Abstract

Dear Editor,

I was reading the article which was cited above titled ‘Green synthesis of silver nanoparticles from Rotheca serrata (L.) Steane & Mabb., its physicochemical Characterization and Evaluation of its Biological Activities which was ideal and novel attracted the importance of nanoscience and its utility in the field of medicine1-2.

The novel synthesis of nano-based particles has played a pivotal role in the scientific field with green synthesis as a pollution-emerging synthesis which emphasises a cost-effective alternative medicine3

The main purpose of the study focused on green synthesis utilizing silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) using specific leaf extract of Rotheca serrata (L.)  Steane and Mabb belong to the family Verbenacea. The author aimed to characterize these nanoparticles and performed the evaluation study for antibacterial, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity and their effects on the seed germination process.
